Leonardo: Experience a Masterpiece

‘Experience a Masterpiece’ is an innovative new exhibition at the National Gallery taking visitors on a journey through the inspiration, context and artistry of Leonardo Da VInci’s, ‘The Virgin of the Rocks’. 

500 years since Leonardo Da Vinci’s death his work continues to inspire awe and fascination. ‘The Virgin of the Rocks’ is the central panel of three that came from an elaborate altarpiece made for the church of San Francesco Grande in Milan. The National Gallery’s painting is one of two versions of the picture, with the first version now displayed at the Louvre, Paris. Eerily beautiful and complex, ‘The Virgin of the Rocks’ is an exquisite example of Leonardo’s artistic genius.

Beam were appointed by creative production company, 59 Productions and National Galley curators to create an immersive, atmospheric scheme.
