LUX showcases 13 large-scale installations from a’strict; Refik Anadol; Je Baak; Cecilia Bengolea; Cao Yuxi; Es Devlin; iart; Julianknxx; Carsten Nicolai; Random International; Hito Steyerl and Universal Everything.
LUX was organised by SUUM project in collaboration with Fact at 180 Studios, 180 The Strand. The spaces used were once the underground carparks, but were transformed into immersive performance and exhibition sites.
Es Devlin’s epic new artwork, BLUESKYWHITE, commissioned by 180 Strand for the exhibition, invites viewers to contemplate the effects of solar engineering proposals to counter global warming by dimming the sun through a thought provoking and all-encompassing sensory experience.
Beam worked with Ab Rogers Design team to deliver an ambitious design in harmony with the layout and graphics., Our installers also had to work with multiple contractors and artists for each of the works as well as the building as it was converted.
