‘Milk’ at the Wellcome Trust takes a deep dive into the complicated story of milk and how it became central to our everyday lives.
Displaying over 100 objects, including cultural artefacts, artworks and new commissions, the exhibition explores the history of dairy farming practices alongside the changing attitudes to the commercial identity of milk through advertising campaigns in the 20th century.
Beam worked with both the curators and site specific artists on a range of lighting interventions. We provided lighting fixtures, and bespoke control systems for the exhibition.
