Moving to Mars is the Design Museum’s latest major exhibition exploring the challenges and innovations in man’s quest to populate the red planet.

Looking forward to a possible future for human beings on Mars, the exhibition showcases cutting edge designs from farming to fashion, ultimately asking visitors to consider our relationship with Earth and the wisdom of inter-planetary colonisation.

This fully immersive, multi-sensory exhibition features some 200 objects including a genuine Mars rover, the first spacesuit specifically designed for the Martian atmosphere, sustainable urban designs and robotic builders, as well as installations of never-before seen, high resolution imagery from Mars surface and a full-scale Mars home.

Lighting made use of stock fittings as well as bespoke showcase fittings. We also installed a fully automated lighting system as part of the Hassell designed living pod.
