Jono Kenyon
Director
Jono has over 3 decades experience lighting high profile events and exhibitions at some of the most prestigious and iconic venues around the world.
Starting his career at the Young Vic whilst still at school, Jono went on to study Theatre Design at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, (BA Hons)
Jono toured extensively worldwide working on hundreds of productions for companies such as the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre and The Royal Opera House.
Following theatre, Jono worked on live music events, lighting bands including Placebo, Faithless, Maroon 5 and Estelle.
Jono also worked on many site specific events and immersive experiences and was responsible for lighting the first 5 years of Secret Cinema events.
In 2010 Jono specialised in exhibition lighting, designing and fabricating lighting installations in galleries and museums.
With this wealth of experience Jono founded Beam Lighting Design Ltd in 2016. Since its formation Beam has become established, counting venues such as Somerset House, the Design Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum as clients.
With unparalleled technical expertise and industry knowledge, together with an eye for beautiful lighting design, Jono works meticulously to ensure the successful delivery of unique and innovative lighting solutions to each and every project.
lewis Hannaby
Lighting Designer
Lewis has a passion for innovation and creativity within the areas of lighting design and technology. He enjoys designing and prototyping custom lighting systems, fixtures and effects to meet the artistic needs of the client.
After graduating with a First Class honours degree in Technical Theatre Arts at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Lewis began his career working as a Lighting Technician for the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company where he helped create many of the bespoke lighting effects seen on stage. Since embarking on his lighting career, Lewis has worked as a lighting designer, technical consultant and technician for many theatrical and arts events across the UK. While expanding his design and technical skills in the fast-paced world of the live arts, Lewis quickly gained a reputation for elegant and practical designs.
In addition to his lighting work for live events, Lewis pursued his interest in the advancement of lighting technology, developing several lighting products for the theatrical and events industry. Lewis participates in international lighting industry discussions and schemes, collaborating with colleagues from across the lighting industry to develop the future of lighting design.
Lewis approaches every job with the same diligent, creative and detailed approach and ensures his work is carried out to the highest possible standard.
Virginia Bertolotti
Lighting Designer
After studying Architecture and completing a Masters degree in Sustainable Architecture at Polytechnic of Turin, Virginia focused her studies on Lighting Design. She moved to London in 2019 to pursue her career. She joined Pritchard Themis, before heading to Lighting Design International. There she worked on a huge range of high profile projects. Her portfolio includes many UK and International designs in high end residences, yachts, 5 stars hotels, offices and landscapes.
She is deeply passionate about art, and she enjoys any opportunity to be creative and generate new ideas.
Virginia brings a creative approach to each project she works on.
